Forrest Critters: Mr. Podgens
This is the first of many illustrations in a series I call, “Forrest Critters.” The idea is to make a whimsical design of wild animals---much like you'd fine in a children’s book---and then add a fun, light hearted poem. The animals will all be sitting in their natural habitat. Also worth noting is that this was a two color project (white counting as the “paper”). Every color in this image was made from a mixture of only two colors.
Below was my process for figuring out how to compose my illustration. Some other original ideas are presented here as well.
